How to fix it, step by step

Check System Info
Go to Elementor, System Info. Check the memory limit and PHP version, and any warnings it shows.

Raise memory
Add this to wp-config.php, or ask the host to raise PHP memory_limit.

Regenerate styles
Go to Elementor, Tools, and press Regenerate CSS and Data. Then clear every cache.

Replace old addresses after a move
In Elementor, Tools, Replace URL, put the old address and the new one. This fixes styles and images pointing at the old site.

Read the console
Press F12 while the editor loads. 403 errors on admin-ajax.php mean a server firewall rule. Send them to your host to allow.

Test plugins safely
Use the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin to switch plugins off for you only, then turn them back on one at a time.

Match versions
Update Elementor and Elementor Pro together so they are on the same release.

Will I lose my designs?
No. Designs are saved in the database. The editor failing to open does not delete them.
Is Elementor making my site slow?
It can add weight. A lean theme, fewer add-on plugins and good caching help. Sometimes a rebuild is cheaper in the long run.
